no spring? here’s to summer then…

Spring time should be here in the Midwest but it isn’t, so I skipped a season and went straight to Summer. I made my first Blueberry Pie in school, but I added way too much salt in it that I just tossed it out. I remembered loving the crust and parts of the filling that was not salty. I finally decided to make another one since I have so much time on my hands nowadays. I used a frozen blueberry filling recipe. I made a pate brisee crust so the juice wouldn’t soak in too much. Can I say delicious? And of course, I love the look of the lattice crust, it gives off a warm and homey feeling, doesn’t it? I froze this guy off for a good 20 minutes before I put it in the oven at 400 degrees. This 9″ guy took 30 minutes to bake, 30 minutes of craving, and 3 seconds to devour. Happy Eatings (wishing it was spring already)!
