Who Can Say No to A Cheese, Tomato, and Ham Loaf?

So I have been craving for good bread. A couple weeks ago I was dead hungry for sandwiches, so I ended up buying Roundy’s Brand White Bread. =( Not saying it’s bad or anything, but if you were me, you would understand. =) So the other day I made Country Bread, the next day I decided to make this Savory-No-Need-Lettuce-Or-Anything-Bread (Baguette with loads of Cheese, Tomatoes, and Ham slices).

I made a starter, let it rise for 24 hours on accident (for flavor). Yum! Straight dough method. Knead. Rise. shape. Proof. Tossed tomatoes in olive oil and seasoned it. Topped proofed dough with a layer of cheese, ham slices, more cheese (the WHOLE bag), and lastly the tomatoes. Baked it for half an hour, I should have gone more for a darker look. This bread was like pizza without all the sauce. Delicious! Unfortunately, it’s only good for a few days. So…off to a new bread!  Until my new bake, Happy Eatings!
